Larkin University Smart Parking Decal & Security App
Project Overview
I created a smart parking decal system for Larkin University that seamlessly integrates physical decals with a digital security database. By embedding QR codes into each decal, I connected them to a custom PowerApps solution, enabling security personnel to instantly access vehicle and owner details when scanned. From designing the decal in Adobe InDesign to developing a multi-screen PowerApps database with role-based security controls, I led the entire process to enhance campus security and parking enforcement.

1. App Interface - "Lion Parking Database"
• This is the secure database interface that authorized personnel use to access vehicle records.
• Built in Microsoft PowerApps with over 200 dynamic screens, each linked to an individual decal.
2. User Profile Screens in PowerApps
• 200+ screens developed in PowerApps
• ​​​​​​​ When security personnel scans a decal’s QR code, it directs them to the corresponding user’s profile.
• Each profile includes:

Photo of the driver
Vehicle details (Make, Model, Color, Plate #)
Quick Call Button for immediate contact
• Role-Based Access Control ensures only security and facilities managers can access sensitive data.
3. Physical Decal on Vehicle
• I designed the decal in Adobe InDesign to match Larkin University’s branding.
• Printed on cling paper for easy application & removal.
• QR Code Integration links each decal to the Lion Parking Database for instant verification.
